This book begins, after preliminary chapters on the approach to case taking and the rationale behind a classification-based study of natural sources of homoeopathic remedies, with a general introduction to the animal kingdom, and an introduction to the phylum Mollusca. Then follow sections on each of three classes of molluscs – Bivalvia, Gastropoda and Cephalopoda. Towards the end, the learning in the book is encapsulated in the Summary of Mollusca. Similarly, each section begins with an introduction to the general class, followed by chapters on a few sub-groups of that class. It ends with a summary of the class. Within each chapter are presented first the general information about a sub-group in the class, and then a description of some species in the group. This is followed by homoeopathic information available about remedies made from those species and then by cases where possible. This is followed by a summary of the main features of the group. The last page of every chapter contains an overview of possible source words of that group, titled “Expressions of (that group) in the Patient.” Hence the Book gives an overview of the Phylum Mollusca. The Section gives an overview of a Class within the above phylum. The Chapter gives an overview of a Sub-group within the class. Possibly significant ‘source words’ are highlighted throughout the descriptive text in the book.
